In Calcutta...

Just to let you all know, Im home sweet home for the summer..well actually monsoon...and this holiday home actually turns out to be my Indian getaway...the same place that was once the centre of of all my routine life, now transforms into this cherished experience, just like you would cherish things when you travel abroad...you live every moment to the fullest because the experience is so scarce...well thats what Calcutta is for me...just that all of it is familiar cherished experiences and not exotic the way my friends in Taiwan envision India... its complicated...just like all things which my mind desires to process and ruminate on...

Calcutta is different from Taipei...so very different...but I will not disown my own... somethings I have got disused to...like the honking cars...crowded streets everywhere...old broken buildings...a scarcity of trash cans...traffic that is just wild and the normalcy of crossing the road while the signal is green!! But in all of it I see beauty...a certain character of the people and city...and a charm that only Calcutta holds over me... Its good to be home..Home home... no matter where I travel or live or move to...Calcutta will never lose her place in my heart...
